Our Church is blessed to have the talents of many members on our boards and commitees. These dedicated individuals guide the care of the Church as well as community outreach. We ask members to support our church by joining a church board or ministry.
Boards set church policy with approval of the Church Council and meet monthly.
Ministry Committees are action-oriented teams that can be focused and short-term, without requiring regular attendance at board meetings. They provide a way for each member to contribute some time — whenever and however much they are able. Ministry Committees encourage creative ideas and allow people to develop friendships and leadership skills while making a noticeable difference in the church or community. The relative success of ministries gives suggestions concerning the directions that the church is headed. Meetings of Church Boards are open to all church members.

Officers of the Church
- Moderator, Dave Schacht, presides at the annual meeting of the Church and monthly meetings of the Church Council; he performs other leadership tasks as needed.
- Our treasurer supervises receipt and payment of financial transactions, prepares financial records and reports, and assists in financial planning.
- Church Clerk, Brian Brigman, takes minutes of all-church and Council meetings and keeps records of church members including baptisms, marriages and deaths.
Our Church Council is composed of Church Officers and Chairs of Boards and Committees. The Council meets once per month. The Council is the policy making body and carries out the business of the Congregation in between Congregational meetings.

Supports and assists Church Pastor with worship services, and the sacraments of communion and baptism. Deacons also help with visitations, hospitality on Sundays, memorials and wedding services. They also are instrumental with all aspects of membership. We are inspired by Matthew 28:19-20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age." Meets once per month.
Our service to others is a very important element of the life of the Church. We give generously of our time, talent and resources. Our mission is to not only disperse funds in this regard, but to provide the leadership that will help our members get actively involved in mission outreach locally, regionally and around the globe. Some of the entities we serve include: DuPage PADS, Elmhurst Walk-In Ministry, CROP Walk, Yorkfield Food Pantry, Teen Parent Connection, Neighbors in Need and St. John's United Church of Christ in Chicago. We draw inspiration from Philippians 2:4 - "Let each of you look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."
Responsible for the care of church property, finances, fund raising, and personnel. We support all boards and committees through allocation of funding including Building and Grounds, Building Use, Finance, Personnel, Systems and Stewardship. We are inspired by Proverbs 24:3-4 - "By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; andy by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches." Meets once per month.
Promotes the vision of our Church. We are "Partners in Christ's Service" through music, and to enrich our service through praise, worship and devotion in song. We assist the Pastor and the Music Director in their efforts to enhance the worship service through music. We assist the Congregation, collectively, through our sacred music. We are inspired by Psalms 92:1 - "It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to your name, O Most High."
