Great news.  We have confirmed with Compost Supply that they will once again provide food scrap amended compost for our Green Garden Fair.  Those of us who bought it last year know what wonderful things it did for our gardens so you’ll want to be sure to pick some up.  Please order your compost by May 10th by filling out this form and returning it to the church office.

And of course, you’ll need something to put that compost around.  Don’t forget to go to http://sweethomeseedlings.myshopify.com/ to order your organically grown vegetables and herbs and benefit our church ministries.  On line orders must be made by April 28th but don’t wait until then.  They are already sold out of a couple of types of tomatoes.  Order now to get the best selection.

Green Team Hosts an “Energy-Filled” Night

Posted by Church Communication, With 0 Comments, Category: Green Team,

Wednesday evening, November 5th, a House Party sponsored by our Green Team was hosted in the home of Karen Pachyn and Don Haraf for our church members.  Those who attended heard a presentation by Skyler Larrimore of Elevate Energy and Mike from DNR Construction about how to make their homes more energy efficient.  They also learned about how Smart Meters work and how to take advantage of the cost savings they permit.  Mike  demonstrated a blower door which allows experts to tell how air tight your home is and showed an infrared photo of a house, another tool that can be used to measure how leaky a home might be.  Everyone took home ideas on how to make their own homes more comfortable in a cost effective fashion.  If you're interested in more events like this, contact one of our Green Team members.
