Seder Service
Our Family Fellowship event for April was our second annual Seder Service on Maundy Thursday, April 9th.
A Seder is a celebration of the Hebrew's Exodus from slavery in Egypt and in particular the fact that the final plague which convinced Pharaoh to let god's people go, the death of the first-born, passed over the children of Abraham (see Exodus 8-12, with emphasis on chapter 12). This celebration dinner involved participants in reviewing the Exodus event and its significance for our Jewish sisters and brothers in words, songs and symbols.
Our Seder was a celebration for the entire family, with participation in reading, song and food as we experienced what Jesus was doing with his disciples the evening of The Last Supper.

Diversity in liturgy is also made necessary by our other special times of worship. Each year we have three youth led services. One is our annual Advent Youth Pageant, another is led by the entire Sunday School and a third is planned and led by our confirmation class. Other yearly special services include our Women's Week service, Ash Wednesday service, Maundy Thursday service, and our Easter Sunrise service.
